EnglishHelp with my Ravencoin wallet that was stored on my MAC.

Had a hardware failure a year ago, the technician saved my files and copied everything on a new hard drive. Including the ravencoin wallet. A week ago I decided to run the Ravencoin wallet but it was closing immediately. Tried to run the wallet.dat on a another pc and it showed the following message "wallet.dat corrupt salvage failed" Please give me some ideas on how to recover the data from inside the wallet.dat Private keys method extraction where a bit complicated for me via python salvage option. Please help, I have invested in it since 2018.

I think to use another wallet.dat you should go to the so called datadir folder ("~/Library/Application\ Support/Ravecoin/" on macos), rename wallet.dat to smth else and then put your wallet.dat you want to use in this folder. Make sure Rave Coin is closed, copy one of your wallet.dat files that you saved on USB earlier and paste it in this folder, then open Rave coin again. This should do it.

Unfortunately, there are no other viable solutions: lost bitcoins can be recovered only by restoring the wallet with the private keys of the public addresses where they are stored, if you have a backup, or by recreating a new wallet using the restore from seed or private key function.

try this:
backup wallet.dat
install BerkeleyDB
open a terminal and then:

cd where/your/wallet/dat/is
db_verify wallet.dat

if you see "verification of wallet.dat succeeded", highly likely it's not corrupted

Corrupted :( Tough luck...
Other copy is probably the only option.

Nice suggestion that BerkeleyDB.
I close this now.

Well, I think that’s happening because the Ravencoin wallet software is corrupt so delete it and try reinstalling a new one but this time instead of creating a new wallet you can recover your old wallet with the phrase you were given when creating your account..

U can choose the option clone your ip address to your new system your data already saved in new harddisk for the safety policy most of the wallets not accept to run a ID from different IP address so try to match old ip to new pc it's can done by some ethical Hacker's.

I don't think you can retrieve your lost btc only if you have your private key in other for you to restore it or you can delete the wallet and restart good luck

The wallet.dat file is just a vehicle for your raven coin, the true raven holdings are in your private key. When creating your wallet, you were asked to write down your 12,18,24 word mnemonic. Reinstall the raven coin wallet software you were using and recover using your private key mnemonic.

I'm considering switching wallets. that you should rename wallet in the datadir folder ("/Library/Application Support/Ravecoin/" on macos). change that to something different, and then place your wallet there. in this folder that you want to use. Close Rave Coin and take a copy of one of your wallets. Copy the dat files from your USB drive and place them in this folder, then reopen Rave Coin. This ought to suffice.
